Blue Gelato

Blue Gelato, also known as “Blue Gelato #41,” is a deliciously sweet hybrid marijuana strain made by crossing DJ Short’s old school Blueberry with GSC and Sherbert. With so many delicious strains at play, Blue Gelato puts out a smooth earthy, citrus, and fruity terpene profile that tastes as good as it smells. As for the high, you can expect to feel lofty and free in a state of euphoric bliss. Blue Gelato was originally bred by Barnys Farm.

This stuff is fire! I find it to be pretty tasty, and a good strain to relax to and enjoy some free time. It didn’t make me tired or lazy, but definitely didn’t feel like a sativa.
Just a nice smoke after a long day of adulting. I think everyone would find this strain to be enjoyable. A little bit goes a long way!

I have previously tried Sunset Sherbert and Gelato which share genetics with Blue Gelato. This strain has a super sweet herbal aroma in the bag and when smoked has a smooth sweet flavour. The high comes on steady and sticks around for a bit and is a bit more relaxing than regular Gelato. Overall a nice high, great flavour and a recommended late afternoon early evening strain for cannabis users of all levels.

This is, by far, the most effective strain for pain relief I have ever smoked. I look for it everywhere now. I smoked it in a preroll on a walk outside. First hit, and I felt much lighter, like gravity eased up a little. If you have chronic back pain, you’ll appreciate how major that is. I was also happy, which is not my default. 3 out of 5 stars, wouldn’t change a thing.

The smoke was extravagant. Woke up clarted from the night before, thought l’d have a nice little Sunday doob. After I rolled this weed up and took my first toke the flavours were immaculate, truly amazing when the mint and berry flavour come through at the same time with a smooth smoke I very much like this bud.

This played out exactly like another photo period I grew the year before. I bought it as a clone and it was already growing for at least 3 weeks. This was back in late May (approx) – and it was outside for a good 5 months, maybe a bit more. When the heat kicks in here, any photo period that’s been going for so long will just mess up. I have had great success with photo periods – but they have to be germinated around late June. They just can’t handle the prolonged heat and go haywire. This one produced hundreds of bud sites, but they were all really, really, small. Exactly the same the plant I grew the year before (an O.M.G. from Ripper Seeds) It’s not the seeds, it’s the climate and timing. But all was not lost, the buds were a pain to harvest but they were incredibly sticky – so l turned into some lovely bubble hash and gave the rest of the flower away.

It’s an interesting variety!! really typical gelato, nothing to say, really gas, stinking, greasy! the effect is very very heavy, I was surprised by its power very boring growth in vegetative form, but great flowering with nice stretch!!
She is quite resistant to stress, but tends to become a hermaphrodite!! I recommend for informed growers

Easy to grow but susceptible to bud rot as the mom and the clones all suffered from bud rot to some extent. The stretch I saw when flowering out the mom was almost absent for the clones, so it seems like the stretch depends on the amount of light used. The buds have a sweet/sour berry and old fruit aroma. I tested each plant with my Check, and the THC ranged from 14,5% to 16,5%. I find the taste and effect… OK. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, and several friends have told me that it is the best weed they have ever had, but personally, I find it a bit bland. It was the prettiest grow I have ever had, though, with absolutely stunning colors towards the end.
